In this talk, I will report some recent progress of the study on chaotic behavior of hyperbolic dynamical systems, which mainly contains existence of periodic orbits and Smale horseshoes with some applications.

連增，四川大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)院教授、博士生導(dǎo)師、國(guó)家杰出青年基金獲得者，美國(guó)紐約大學(xué)庫朗研究所博士后、美國(guó)楊百翰大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)博士、南開大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)士。連增教授主要致力于動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)與遍歷理論的研究工作，具體內(nèi)容包括隨機(jī)或無窮維動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)的光滑遍歷理論、混沌理論和遍歷極值問題等，在該領(lǐng)域取得了若干重要研究進(jìn)展，相關(guān)結(jié)果發(fā)表在Journal of the American Mathematical Society，Memoirs of the American Mathematical Society，Advances in Mathematics，Journal of Differential Equations等國(guó)際一流數(shù)學(xué)期刊。
